Sharon Depcinski, LMSW
Sharon has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 18 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Family Life/Human Sexuality from Central Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. She completed a supervised clinical training program at the Loyola University Outpatient Sexual Dysfunction Clinic, and in 2019 she is continuing to further her education by attending the Sexual Health Certificate Program through the University of Michigan. She has expertise in issues related to aging, health care, women’s issues, gender issues, weight and body image, relationship difficulties, and sexual health. She works with adults and couples, providing a supportive environment in order to help them to develop their own solutions and achieve their goals. To this end, Sharon believes that developing a therapeutic relationship with the right clinician for you is a crucial part of productive therapy. Having the courage to make yourself vulnerable and seek help is a brave step in the right direction, moving towards more personal happiness and healthier relationships. She is trained in the therapeutic technique of brainspotting, a type of brain-body mindfulness based relational therapy.
